Another training ride
Rode on the rail trail starting in Boston. I rode down to Mckeesport and back because I haven't ridden on that part of the trail in several years. It has been marked and paved after it crosses the Youghegheny river into Mckeesport. I rode down Walnut street past my old office which is no longer owned by the Telephone Company. I was surpised to see the Eagles building burned out. The Penn-McKee hotel is abandoned. The only bright spot was the Palisades has been updated and looked pretty good. I then rode back to Boston past Dead Man's Hollow where I used to go camping and hiking as a Boy Scout 50 years ago. It is now a protected park for hikers. I will have to go back some day. I then rode up to West Newton and back for a total of 36 miles.

I spent the last few days up in Lake Chautauqua in New York with the Guesmans and Newells. Jim N. and I rode about 75 miles over three days. New York is very biker friendly with wide berms and bike lanes on most of the roads. We rode on Rt 20 in Westfield area which I rode last year in the 2009 Cross Country Challenge. It brought back quite a few memories.
